Domestic violence is when one person in a relationship physically or emotionally hurts another. Domestic violence is also called intimate partner violence because it can be from any type of boyfriend/girlfriend or ex-husband/wife.
There are three types of domestic violence which include:
i. Physical abuse, such as hitting or shoving
ii. Emotional abuse, such as yelling or controlling what one does
iii. Sexual abuse, such as forcing the other to do something sexual they do not wish to do.
